Notarize Article of Incorporation

Only required for a Stock Company(KK).

No need of notarization for a Limited Liability Company, however, be sure to finalize the contents before company registration.

What to Bring to Notary Office

  1. Personal Stamp (Inkan)

  2. Personal Stamp Certificate

  3. Residence Card & My Number Card

  4. JPY¥55,000 in cash

  5. Articles of Incorporation

  6. CD-R

  7. (If applicable) Letter of Attorney

Company Registration

Both GK and KK are required to follow the same procedure.

What to Bring to Notary Office

  1. Company Registration Forms

  2. Capital Transfer Record

  3. Company Stamp

  4. Personal Stamps of All Directors

  5. JPY¥150,000 in cash

  6. Notarized Articles of Incorporation

　BEFORE going to Legal Affairs Bureau:

  1. Printout or scan of the bank balance

  2. Printout or scan of transfer history or confirmation

  3. If using third-party’s bank account as proxy, letter of authorization from owner of bank account

　・Transfer your capital into Japanese bank account

　・Obtain a Company Stamp & Bank Stamp

　・Prepare Capital Transfer Records

How much will be reimbursed?

  • ¥175,000 for a Stock Company
    (KK: Kabushiki Kaisha)

  • ¥80,000 for a Limited Liability Company
    (GK: Godo Kaisha)
